Marcus Verberne, Executive Chef

Marcus Verberne has worked alongside Mark Hix for the last 10 years, previously at Le Caprice, J Sheekey and The Ivy, before joining Rocco Forte's Brown's Hotel in February 2008.

Marcus, originally from New Zealand, began his career in Wellington before moving to Melbourne, Australia to work alongside Bill Marchetti at Marchetti's Latin and then Cecconi's.

Marcus lives in Colchester and is passionate about supporting British suppliers and he and Mark have gone to great lengths to source some of the finest seasonal ingredients from all over the British Isles. Marcus enjoys foraging for wild food, with many of these ingredients appearing on his menus.
